The Thumbnail Way
Church of Santa María Magdalena - Enériz
Historical-artistic review
The church of Santa María Magdalena de Enériz is a temple of medieval origin linked to the route of the French Way by Aragon del Camino de Santiago. With sober architecture and balanced proportions, it responds to the rural typologies of the late Romanesque in Navarra, with subsequent reforms that have been shaping its current aspect. Its discreet and functional presence reflects the historical character of the enclave as a place of passage and welcome to the pilgrim.
The model
This model emphasizes the simplicity of the building and the clear reading of its main volumes. It has been sought to transmit the relationship of the temple to its immediate environment and the human scale it presents when it is discovered walking along the Way, integrating it into the landscape of the heart of Enériz, in Navarra.
