The main reason why Enériz ended up being the right option to install and develop the project of our Albergue was certainly the hermitage of Santa Maria de Eunate.

We learned from this charming village of Enériz, as the last town of the French Road by Aragonbefore arriving at Eunate, just 2.5 kilometers away.

Santa María de Eunate is one of those essential places of Camino de Santiago. Even many pilgrims who make the Way of Santiago from Rondesvalles deviate into the town of Muruzabal to approach the hermitage, adding a few more kilometers to its stage.

For us to know that we have Santa Maria de Eunate so close is a permanent encouragement, an inspiration that makes us update every day the success of our commitment to settle here in Enériz.

And why Eunate?

For its Romanesque architecture and the unique of its plant and its outer cloister. For its charming beauty, highlighting between open and lonely landscapes. Because of the almost intoxicating serenity that transmits its interior. For all the fascinating stories and legends that have been explained about her...

But certainly, in my case, it's because the overwhelming experience of the first time I saw her. When I first came to Eunate and appeared before me, something moved inside me. I didn't realize then but then, with the passage of time, I knew that from that time, St. Mary of Eunate It became forever part of my landscape: the outside and the inside.
