The Thumbnail Way
Church of Our Lady of the Manzano - Castrojeriz (Burgos)
Historical-artistic review
The church of Nuestra Señora del Manzano in Castrojeriz is one of the monumental milestones of the French Way in the province of Burgos. Built between the 13th and 15th centuries, it combines Gothic strokes with influences of late Romanesque, adapting to the needs of worship and pilgrimage of the time. Its polygonal header and vertical volumes reflect a balance between Monumentation and sobriety, consolidating it as a reference in the Jacobee path to Santiago.
The model
The model has been designed to highlight the main volumes of the building and the harmony of its architectural lines, especially the polygonal header and the sets of lights and shadows that characterize the royal temple. The interpretation on a scale seeks to convey the presence and solemnity of the whole, making accessible to the look the elements that define its historical character.
